The honest version
AI is not picking a lock, rekeying a deadbolt, or cutting a key by hand on the machine in your van. That part is still you, your tools, and years of knowing which pin is sticking. What AI takes off your plate is everything around the job: the quote you text from the curb at 11pm, the invoice you mean to send and don't, the second call that comes in while you're still finishing the first.
Most locksmiths have tried AI casually: maybe you've had it clean up a text to a customer or write a quick post for your page. Few have it actually built into how the business runs. That's the gap, because this trade lives on split-second decisions: a lockout at 2am, a commercial rekey with twelve doors and one deadline, a car key job where the customer is standing there waiting.
What a locksmith actually uses AI for
- Quotes before you're even in the truck. Describe the job like you'd tell a dispatcher: lockout, rekey, commercial install, and AI drafts the price and the text to send, in your pricing structure. You glance at it, you send it.
- Dispatch that doesn't drop a call. When three jobs stack up at once, AI helps you sort them by urgency and location so the lockout doesn't wait behind the rekey that could've happened tomorrow.
- Invoices that go out the same day. The job that got done at midnight and never got billed because you were already on the next call. AI drafts the invoice from a quick voice note so it actually goes out.
- Commercial proposals and master-key records. A property manager wants a bid on a twelve-door rekey with a master system. AI turns your notes into a clean written proposal, and keeps the key record straight so you're not guessing six months later.
- Review requests and emergency-call reminders. The review ask after a 2am lockout, the "update your locks" seasonal note. Marketing you know you should do and never have time for.
The part nobody tells you: the biggest barrier for owners isn't cost or difficulty. It's not knowing where to start. The tools cost about $20/month. What's missing is someone showing you how they fit YOUR calls and YOUR truck, once, properly.
Why listen to me
I'm not a tech guy selling software. I'm a business owner. I run multiple companies across three locations, and I use AI daily to build the tools and systems they run on: dashboards, trackers, quote calculators, marketing. I got obsessed, figured out what works, and now I teach other owners the same setup.
The whole thing is one flat fee: $997, a few calls, and we build your first real tool together on your actual business. If you don't think it was worth it, full refund. No subscription, no lock-in.
The dispatch-under-pressure problem is the same one I set up for electricians: emergency calls stacking up, a quote that has to go out fast, and a job record that can't live only in your head.
